Proceeds from the sale of goods at FamilyTime's Thrift Shop directly benefits the many free programs for victims of abuse that FamilyTime provides, including counseling and emergency shelter.

Donations made to FamilyTime are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.


 


FamilyTime's Mission is . . .
To provide an outreach program and accessible services to families and individuals in crisis through counseling, crisis intervention, information and referral, and shelter.
 
   
   
FamilyTime Provides . . .
- Free counseling and support groups for victims of abuse.
- A 24-hour crisis helpline.
- "The Door," an emergency shelter for domestic violence victims and their children.
- Hospital accompaniment for sexual assault victims provided by trained advocates.
- Trained staff to provide legal advocacy about issues stemming from abuse.
- Professional counseling at affordable rates for non-victim issues.
- Parenting education and anger management classes.
- Most services are also available in Spanish.

FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which was founded in 1977. FamilyTime is staffed by trained professionals and governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.

How we are funded . . .
FamilyTime's free services to victims of abuse are funded through generous grants and donations from the following sources:

the Texas Health and Human Services Commission - Family Violence Program; the Emergency Food and Shelter Program; the Office of the Governor - Criminal Justice Division; the Harris County Community Services Department; the Office of the Attorney General - Crime Victim Services Department; the United Way of Greater Houston; FamilyTime's Thrift Shops; Program service fees; Local service organizations; Corporations; Religious entities; Foundations; Fundraisers; and Private citizens.

FamilyTime gladly accepts monetary donations which are used to provide free victim service programs such as emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and case management for all victims of abuse.

So that all potential donors may make an informed decision about whom they choose to donate to, you may access more detailed agency and program information through the following third-party Non-Profit Agency Databases:





FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center’s website, www.familytimeccc.org, does not collect any information regarding those persons viewing its content except for those making an online donation to the organization. FamilyTime utilizes a secure third-party payment program (PayPal) to collect online donations through our website. Information collected during an online donation transaction includes the donors name, address, telephone number, and credit/debit card information. Payment information is securely documented through PayPal; FamilyTime only collects and retains the donors name, address and amount donated. This information is used by the organization to send an acknowledgement of their donation.

FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center does not rent, share, sell, or otherwise distribute the names and addresses of donors, volunteers and supporters of the agency without their express permission. This policy is in place to protect and respect the privacy of our supporters.
