In-kind contributions such as clothing, household items, linens, and children's toys are gladly accepted at the FamilyTime Thrift Shop. Items sold at the FamilyTime Thrift Shop directly benefit the many programs that FamilyTime offers to assist victims of violence, including the shelter.

All donations made to FamilyTime are tax-deductible.

 
FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center is . . .
Offering family and individual counseling on a sliding scale fee basis.
Providing free crisis intervention, counseling, support groups, and legal advocacy to all victims of crime including family violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
Offering education programs to the community on subjects relating to personal and family crisis issues, family violence, sexual assault, and other issues.

Professional counseling at affordable rates for non-victim issues.
24-hour helpline.
Free individual counseling and support groups for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Trained advocates for sexual assault survivors.
The Door, a shelter for battered women and their children.
Trained advocates for legal issues.

General Information . . .

FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center (formerly FamilyTime Foundation) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which was founded in 1977. FamilyTime is staffed by trained professionals and governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.

How we are funded . . .
All or part of FamilyTime's programs are funded through the following sources:
48% comes from government agencies including the Texas Health and Human Services Commission; the Emergency Food and Shelter Program-Phase XXVI; the Governor's Office - Criminal Justice Department; the Harris County Community and Economic Development Department; and the Office of the Attorney General. 6% comes from the United Way of Greater Houston. 25% is generated by FamilyTime's Thrift Shop. 1% comes from program service fees, and the remaining 20% comes from local service organizations, corporations, fundraisers, religious entities, and foundations.

Exciting News . . .
FamilyTime proudly announces the opening of their second Thrift Shop which is located at 3850 Aldine Mail Route in Houston (next to Family Dollar & Labor Ready). The store hours are Monday - Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. We are very excited about the new store and look forward to seeing you there!
